reFuel.ch hosts successful 3rd Round Table Event in Dübendorf
On February 25, 2025, nearly 100 participants gathered at Empa Akademie in Dübendorf for the SWEET Consortium reFuel.ch’s 3rd Round Table event. About 26 entities including enterprises, associations, and representatives from our sponsor, the Swiss Federal Office of Energy (SFOE) SWEET Office joined our researchers in a Barcamp-like setup, to discuss findings from reFuel.ch's work program under the Chatham House rules. The participants discussed and challenged national, international, systemic and technical approaches to the generation, provision and use of sustainable fuels and platform chemicals.
A standout moment of the event was the keynote presentation on the Swiss hydrogen strategy, delivered by Elena Buri from SFOE. The topic generated significant attention and engaged attendees in meaningful conversation.
The networking opportunity was used intensively, both between the scientists and the stakeholders and among the stakeholders. The researchers gained new impulses while the stakeholders gained new insights into the research topics relevant to their field and could forge new connections between themselves.
The next opportunity for continued collaboration and networking will be the annual reFuel.ch conference, set for September 22, 2025.
